TRIVIUM CONDEMN “THE SIN AND THE SENTENCE”

Listen to a brand new Trivium track right now!

Previously as you might have seen, I was doing some snooping and saw that Trivium’s members had all changed their respective social networks to a darkened red. Following this, the band then began to drip feed small teasers last week until this morning.

Breaking the silence (in the snow) the band have unveiled a brand new track and a stunningly shot video to accompany it. Titled “The Sin And The Sentence” its the first example from what will no doubt be a brand new album set for release later this year.

Following on from their previous effort, the clean vocals it seems are here to stay with Corey definitely taking over the harsher tones. Personally, I have to say that I wasn’t blown away by the track but then I remember hearing their previous single “Silence In The Snow” and not liking it immediately. There are definitive hooks in the track and a signature, lightning fast Trivium solo but it didn’t quite turn my head. Bare in mind this was merely my first listen. Though, despite a lot of the Trivium songs following a simplistic format, many take a while to truly be appreciated. I’m sure that I will end loving the track. Not to mention the new track sounds heavily as though it would be in more of the realm of the classic Trivium sound. Maybe re-releasing Ember To Inferno might have influenced the band, who knows!

The band have also announced there will be a new album this coming autumn. Stay tuned for further announcements.

Currently the new track is available via streaming sites but I would imagine that news of a brand new album would be imminent following the release.
