No strangers to controversy, The Faceless have been part of some of the Metal scene’s biggest scandals of late. Cancelling shows, having band members exit suddenly and the infamy of the social media saga are just some of the trials and tribulations the band have had to deal with. Returning to the UK for the first time in years, last Friday I was able to speak to founding member Michael Keene at their London show for an honest, no bullshit talk.
Sitting down before the show, I spoke to Keene about what it was that made him feel like he had found the right band mates to bring In Becoming A Ghost to life. Which resulted in an in depth talk about the lyrical subject matter and Keene’s own personal catharsis in the creation of the new album. This is Keene like I’ve never seen him before and truly represents a new era in the lifespan of The Faceless.
The Faceless’ incredible brand new album is out now via Sumerian Records.
