What's new?

Returning off the blistering back that was For The Fallen, belligerent Brits Memoriam have returned with their second offering The Silent Vigil but is this more of a misstep than a step forward?

Following the end of Bolt Thrower, members Andrew Whale and Karl Willets began the road to creating Memoriam. Roaring into the main view with their debut the horizon looked as hopeful as you might imagine, however now I’m not so sure. The Silent Vigil, the bands latest effort brings to mind some classic elements of Bolt Thrower lore but is plagued by uncaring and often underwhelming production.

Is this enough to condemn an album though, are the riffs still meaty once get past the sonic wall that is The Silent Vigil’s overall tone? Watch my video review to see what I thought of the record and make sure to subscribe too!

Memoriam’s brand new album The Silent Vigil is set for a March 23rd release via Nuclear Blast and you can preorder the album here.
