Californian born Skeletal Remains are opening up their world swallowing dimension on their brand new album Devouring Mortality and it sounds like the nineties invaded 2018.
The nineties, arguably the golden age of Death Metal gave us some of the finest releases the genre has ever seen, alongside the birth of what is now known as the quintessential sound of Death Metal. Ranging from the likes of Morbid Angel, Cannibal Corpse, Death, Cynic, Disincarnate, Obituary, the list goes on. Yet the swamps of Florida have always been the home of the bludgeoning Metal genre and here Skeletal Remains channel some of the best elements of Florida Death Metal in their brand new album.
Ranging from Suffocation style slams, Morbid Angel sledgehammer grooves and James Murphy style solos, Devouring Mortality, the band’s brand new album combines the blood drenched soul of the golden age of Death Metal into the age of 2018 and its certainly not one to miss.
