Returning after 2015’s landmark leap that was Ire, on May 4th Parkway Drive return with their brand new and highly anticipated album Reverence and it sounds like nothing you’ve heard from them before.
Having previously released “Wishing Wells” and broken the proverbial internet, the band ensured that although they might have been experimenting in their sound on Ire that the hallmarks of Parkway Drive’s sound had certainly not disappeared. Correct to a degree, though if anything, the band’s sound has merely expanded into uncharted territory.
Fearlessly exploring orchestral compositions and the use of clean vocals on “Shadow Boxing“, contemplating progressive cognizance on “Chronos” and the sheer brute force of “Absolute Power“, Reverence is not simply another band rehashing their sound but Parkway Drive understanding what they have been, are currently and most importantly what they have the potential to be. One of the most anticipated albums of the year, watch the video below for the review of Reverence.
